About Us
Desert Oasis Rescue & Sanctuary was born long before it had a name.
More than twelve years ago, our rescue journey began with one tiny kitten whose mother had been killed by a stray dog. What followed were late nights, bottle feedings, and a crash course in responsibility, compassion, and commitment. That single life sparked something lasting.
Since then, we've rescued and cared for hundreds of animals, each with their own story, personality, and place in our hearts. From farm animals to companion animals, every life that crosses our path is treated as an individual, not a number.
We operate as a home-based sanctuary, rooted in intentional living. We are veteran-owned, a homeschooling family, and homesteaders who believe that care, stewardship, and education go hand in hand. Our daily lives are intertwined with the animals we serve, allowing us to provide hands-on, consistent, and deeply personal care.
Our work is guided by one core belief: We can achieve more together as a community than we ever could as individuals.
Rescue is not a solo act. It's built on shared responsibility, collaboration, and compassion. Desert Oasis exists to be a place where animals are given dignity, where care is intentional, and where people are invited to be part of something meaningful.
This is not just rescue. It is a commitment to doing better, together.
